Providing Game Input

The genesis for the Do You Know Where You Are?™ game dates back to the fall of 2006.  Since that time, much work has been done to create an accurate set of 3,000 questions and answers used in the ‘World Challenge Edition’ of the game.  In addition to our first ‘World Challenge Edition’ we are developing additional editions of the game.

If you would like, you can contribute in to our work in two ways.  Providing corrections to the current edition and providing input for new editions.

Providing Corrections

Although the 3,000 questions and answers in the ’World Challenge Edition’ have gone through multiple reviews, we now know some factual mistakes made it through to production.  We would like you to help us find and resolve these issues.

If you find what you believe to be an error, please check the Card Corrections page to see if it has already been reported.  If it has not been reported, please follow the instructions on the Reporting Errors page to let us know about the possible error.

Providing Input for New Editions

As we develop new questions and answers for future editions, we realize the collective knowledge of the people playing the game is greater than all those we might be able to directly engage in game development projects.  We would like to tap in to your collective knowledge and solicit your input for the questions and answers included in future editions.

There will be no compensation other than you knowing you have shared your knowledge with like minded people whom share your passion.  If you would like to participate in this way, please read on.

When we develop questions, we work in several broad categories.  As you play the game you will likely become aware of the categories even though they are not explicitly part of the game.  The categories are:

· Buildings & Monuments

· Capitals, Cities, and Towns

· History

· Music, Movies, and Literature

· Natural Wonders

· Provinces, States, and Prefectures

· Sports

When you are formulating questions use these categories as a starting point to think about intriguing pieces of trivia that can be tied to a specific location around the world.  As you develop question and answer pairs, follow the format used in the ‘World Challenge Edition’: tell us where we are (Latitude and Longitude) provide a hint to help us know where we are, and then provide the answer for where we are.  Also, document the references where the information can be found to support the questions and answers.

When you send your questions and answers, please send an email with the subject ‘New Q and A’ to DYKWYA@CokesburyAcorns.com.  In the body of the email include the question and answer pairs as well as the references supporting them.  We look forward to hearing from you.
